What Obligations Are There When Doing E-Commerce?

Apart from those listed in the previous steps, there are various tasks that concern taxpayers.

What is the duty to give notice?

After registering your tax liability, you must notify the tax office to which you are connected within 1 month of the changes that have occurred in your address and business.

What is the duty to provide information?

Taxpayers are obliged to provide all the information about the commercial activity that the Ministry of Finance or those authorized to tax inspection will request.

What is the duty of presenting books and documents?

You have to give the books you keep and the documents you have to arrange or receive to those who are authorized to tax inspection and to them if the tax office requests it.

What is the task of storing books and documents?

You have to keep the books that you have to keep and the documents that you have to edit or receive mentioned in the previous steps for a period of five years, starting from the calendar year that follows the relevant year in which they are located.

In addition, taxpayers who keep books on the basis of the balance sheet are obliged to keep these books and documents for 10 years from the year following the year in which they are related in accordance with the Turkish Commercial Code.

What is the obligation of Tawsik?

All records of relations and transactions with third parties contained in the books kept in accordance with the tax laws must be proved with a document.

In addition, taxpayers must collect and pay more than TL 8,000 through banks, private financial institutions or PTT and encourage them with documents issued by these institutions.
